Celebration of Independence Day 15th August 2017

The Interns batch 2017-18 organised India's 71st Independence Day Celebration at the Bharati Vidyapeeth Dental College and Hospital , Pune.

Principal Dr. Rajesh Kshirsagar, hoisted the flag followed by the singing of the National Anthem and a few patriotic songs by our Interns.

A small cultural event then followed which involved dancing on 'Dhol' beats wherein all the staff members, non-teaching staff, and students joined in and helped make it a fun and successful event.

Celebration of “Oral Hygiene Day” on 1st August 2017

The Department of Public Health Dentistry celebrated “Oral Hygiene Day” on 1st August 2017.

This day marks the birth anniversary of the founder of Indian Society of Periodontology, Dr. G.B.Shankwalkar

A free dental check up camp was organized and conducted at Chate Primary School, Bibwewadi, Pune. 137 students were examined .A health talk and demonstration of brushing technique was given to the students and teachers.

A Dental Health Education Program was conducted in the college by the interns for the non teaching staff from the college.

Demonstration of brushing technique was given using models and videos.

Free samples of mouthwash and toothpaste were distributed to the non teaching staff.
