Lecture on “Anti-Ragging / Curbing The Menace Of Ragging”

A Lecture on “Anti-Ragging / Curbing The Menace Of Ragging” was organized by the Department of Periodontology, Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed To Be University) Dental College and Hospital, Pune, on 27th August 2022 at 10 AM. Dr.Vikas Dhupar, Executive Committee Member of Dental Council of India, was invited as the Guest Speaker.

The lecture was attended by the Principal, Heads of all Department, Warden of Hostels (boys and girls hostel), students of 1st year BDS and staff of Department of Periodontology. Dr.Dhupar explained the topic of ragging in detail, gave an excellent insight into the different types / forms of ragging, 3 pronged approach, laws and recommendation of the Honourable Supreme Court of India to tackle this menace.

The lecture was followed by an interactive session with the students where they gave their inputs about the zero-ragging culture in our university. Dr.Rajesh Kshirsargar (Principal) and Dr.Vidya Dodwad (In-charge, Anti-Ragging Committee) assured the students of a constant support and safe learning environment in the college.
