Post Graduate courses


Objective:
To create learned doctors to cater to the need of expert health solutions for future healthy India.

Duration: 3 years

  • M.D.S. (Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery)
  • M.D.S. (Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopaedics)
  • M.D.S. (Oral Pathology & Microbiology)
  • M.D.S. (Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics)
  • M.D.S. (Oral Medicine & Radiology)
  • M.D.S. (Paedodontics & Preventive Dentistry)

Eligibility Criteria:
  1. The candidate must be an Indian National.
  2. The candidates must have appeared and cleared the NEET-MDS 2017 examinations.
  3. The Candidate must have passed B.D.S. examination from a Dental College recognized by Dental Council of India.
  4. The candidate must have completed one year compulsory rotating internship on or before 31-03-2017. He / she will have to produce a certificate of completion of internship before joining the course.
  5. The candidate should posses a permanent registration with any State Dental Council or Dental Council of India. If the registration certificate is not submitted within one month after admission to the postgraduate course, admission to course will be cancelled.
  6. Candidates who have passed Post Graduate Diploma course recognized by the DCI, of the duration of 2 years in particular speciality will be eligible for admission in MDS in the same speciality and the duration of his/her MDS course will be 2 years.

Laboratories And Equipments

State of the art dental clinics with sophisticated infrastructure equipped with endosonics, cryosurgery, ultrasonic scalers, orthopantomography, digital radiography, computerized cephalometrics, laser fluorescence caries detectors as well as several other recent paraphernalia in each dental specialty.

Excellent laboratory facilities are provided especially Phantom head labs, equipped with 100 dental work stations for pre-clinical training, simulating dental treatment.  A well equipped Central Laboratory is available for Crown and Bridge fabrication to gain technical skills in dentistry.

For undergraduate training programmes, the college has well furnished spacious lecture halls equipped with OHP and LCD facilities.

Co-Curricular Activities

Open air theatre within the institution. The theatre has about 400 seating capacity. Medical college has an A/C auditorium, with 500 capacity. The auditorium is fully equipped with good audio visual system. The cultural events are conducted yearly with maximum participation of students and staff.

Financial Aid to Students
Financial aid to students is approved by the management after the names of the deserving and economically and physically challenged are forwarded by the principal.

Health Services
Bharati Vidyapeeth Health Scheme provides free medical check-up to all students and staff every year. The hospital provides medical treatment at subsidized rates.

Bank

Bank with 24 hours ATM facility and well ventilated hygienic canteen facilities are available in the campus.

Various committees are constituted for welfare and smooth conduction of academic and extra curricular activities like foreign student committee, women grievance committee, student counseling committee, sports committee etc.
