• The undergraduate students won the Regional Inter collegiate (UG) Microbiology quiz organized by IAMM, Maharashtra in July2009. They were placed 3rd in the State level quiz  in Nov,2009.
• IAP Quiz:
  Ms. Sonali Mohanty and Ms. Susan Bal represented BVDU Medical College and won the divisional round of 22nd UG quiz (2009) held at BVDU Medical College amongst 06 teams representing the Western zone Ms. Sonali Mohanty and Ms. Susan Bal stood third at Zonal round of 22 UG quiz (2009) at Goa
• Inter Collegiate Quiz in Ophthalmology was won by our team with 2nd Position /11.9.09

Post Graduate Students:

• Dr. Nikhil Shah, Dr. Sreejith R and Dr. Shivacharan successfully completed PALS course in August 2009
• Dr. Nikhil Shah, Dr. Sharan Bulla, Dr. Harit Bansal, Dr. Pawan Kalyan, Dr. Ajay Lal and Dr. Samiksha  Prasad completed NALS course in December 2009
• Dr. Pawan Kalyan received 2nd prize at the Haemato-Oncology quiz in September 2009 organized by 1st Haemato-Onco Meet, Pune
• Dept of Medicine - PG students- Dr. Vishal Aryan & Dr.Sadique Pathan won2nd Prize in AIDS Quiz in Pune City,
• Dr. Arpan Jain, Dr. Sushil Gandhi won Best Paper Award in Research Society Conference  of BVDUMC on ‘Varied clinical presentations of Multiple Myeloma.’
