The department has now come up to be known as one of the best in the country. The postgraduate clinic provides individual working cubicles for every operative clinician. Each cubicle is self sufficient with respect to armamentarium and cabinetry. The entire clinic is air conditioned with a central music system. A separate area of sterilization has been demarcated to keep up with the changing paradigms of sterilization. There is an isolated area for counseling patients and parents and discussing treatment plans.

The department boasts of a well equipped digital library which provides an array of textbooks and literature as well as internet access to various journals. The department has a classroom/ technique room with optimum audiovisual aid, specifically dedicated for undergraduate practical training as well as for the purpose of organizing CDE program. For postgraduate students there is an air-conditioned seminar room equipped with optimum audio-visual aids including an LCD projector as well as a visualizer for hands on demonstration.

The postgraduate section of the department includes a wet plaster laboratory as well as a laboratory for a practical work which is equipped with latest armamentarium such as biostar, minister, hydro soldering unit, electro polisher, sand blaster, acrylizer and dewaxer. The undergraduate section has a separately designated laboratory as well as a sterilization room.

The undergraduate and postgraduate orthodontic clinics have a constant flow of patients with a large number of cases being currently treated with removable, fixed and myofunctional orthodontic appliances. The treatment modalities being practiced in the clinic include contemporary techniques according to global standards such as preadjusted edgewise appliance, lingual orthodontics, growth modification, orthognathic surgeries, temporary anchorage devices (orthodontic implants) etc.
