Workshop on Dissertation Submission Systems (DSS)
A workshop on Dissertation Submission Systems (DSS) was organized on 2nd August 2019 at BVDU Dental College and Hospital, Pune to familiarize representatives from various institutes regarding an innovative step by the University. The University has taken a bold step by dedicating itself to online submission of Dissertations for Postgraduate Programmes in various disciplines from the Faculties of Medicine, Dentistry, Ayurveda, Homeopathy and Engineering. In addition to enormous economic benefits this process shall also eliminate physical transport of dissertations, storage issues and will play a major role in reducing delays in transit or miscommunication. It is the desire of the University to start this activity with immediate effect.
Dr. Rajesh Kshirsagar, Principal, BVDU Dental College and Hospital, Pune welcomed all the participants and outlined the course of the workshop. Dr. Vishwas Dhapte, Controller of Examinations spoke at length about the numerous steps taken by the Examination Section of the University to minimize delays as well as to ensure confidentiality at all levels. He also welcomed all participants and arranged a brief ice breaking activity. Dr. Sachin Kadam, thereafter spoke at length of the various steps involved in the process of online submission of dissertations. As usual his presentation was crisp, to the point and very courteously delivered. All the candidates were given an opportunity to perform hands on operations on the computers provided. All their difficulties were sorted out at the time.
