Building
The College is housed in a building of covered area of 2,07,671.44 sq. ft. in an area of 5 acres. The building is not only an architectural beauty but it is functionally well planned.

The distinguishing feature of Dental College and Hospital Pune is undoubtedly unique, spacious, state of the art building with well ventilated, hygienic surroundings, having lot of space for undergraduates and postgraduates. The laboratories (Ceramic, Phantom Head, Oral Implantology and Dental Clinics) are spacious. There is ample space available for all the curricular and extracurricular activities.

Library

Library
The library was established in 1989 as an integral part of the Dental college and hospital. It provides the academic soil for students to thrive on and in turn nourishes and nurtures the professionals of tomorrow by providing the right ambience and necessary in turn conductive to reading and studying. The library has separate section for the under graduate and post graduate students and the teaching staff. The extensive collection of books and journals, National and International is segregated subject wise in different sections. . Optimum space utilization with open aisle provides maximum flexibility to meet future changing needs.

Equipments and clinical material

Dental college has purchased advanced and latest materials and equipments for all branches of dentistry by spending huge amount for its purchase to cater the needs of patients on day to day basis who come for treatments. This also gives exposure to the students to the advanced techniques and materials. The College also has advanced equipments like Dental implants, RVGs, Digital OPGs, LASERS, etc.

University offers comprehensive hostel facilities within the university campus.  We appreciate that most of our students are moving away from home for the first time, so we strive to make the transition as smooth as possible by offering comfortable and safe hostels within the campus.  University offers separate hostel facilities for boys and girls with wardens in each hostel to supervise day to day management.  Each hostel operates its own mess providing hygienic and nutritious meals thrice a day with varied menu. All the rooms have been designed to provide adequate moving space and ample air and light.

Laboratories and Equipments
State of the art dental clinics with sophisticated infrastructure equipped with operating microscopes , endosonics, cryosurgery, ultrasonic scalers, orthopantomography, digital radiography, computerized cephalometrics, laser fluorescence caries detectors, Advanced casting lab equipments as well as several other recent paraphernalia in each dental specialty.

Excellent laboratory facilities especially Phantom head labs, equipped with 100 dental work stations for pre-clinical training simulating dental treatment.  A well equipped Central Laboratory (BEGO) for Crown and Bridge fabrication is provided to gain technical skills in dentistry.

For undergraduate training programmes, the college has well furnished and spacious lecture halls equipped with OHP and LCD facilities.

The Oral Pathology laboratory has state of the art trinocular microscopes with arrangement of photographic attachment. The students are encouraged to publish their academic work and interesting cases of the department in National and International journals. Modern equipments like pentahead microscope, which aid in accurate diagnosis of oral diseases is also available for use.

Open air theatre is available within the College. The theatre has about 400 seating capacity. Another A/c auditorium, with 500 seating capacitiy is available in the campus. This auditorium is fully equipped with good audio visual system. The cultural events are conducted yearly with maximum participation of students and staff.

Sports

Sports

A central sports ground facility is available for carrying out indoor and outdoor sports activities.  The sports ground is managed and maintained by the college of Physical education. The ground is very spacious having an area of fourteen acres.

The institution has always stressed on the all-round growth of its students. The students are encouraged to participate in the sports activities to enhance the competitive spirit and tolerance - both physical and intellectual.

BVDU Dental college sports committee always encourages sports activities to inculcate togetherness and competitive spirit among the students. These activities help them in their development of physical and mental health. Our students actively participate in intercollegiate tournaments and represent our university at Ashwamedh and All India Interuniversity tournaments. The committee organizes college sports week in the month of December and January, wherein students and staff actively participate and enjoy the events. The college has provided indoor sport facilities like table tennis, carom, and chess in our gymkhana. Our students use the university sports complex for outdoor games throughout the year.

International Student Cell

International Student Cell
Keeping in mind the special needs of foreign students in mind the foreign student’s welfare committee was formed in August 2008-2009. Problems related to adaptation, visa formalities, accommodation, language barrier etc are addressed. Suitable accommodation is catered for. The institute has a functional foreign students committee headed by the Principal, co-ordinated with other staff members. The committee members are accessible to all the foreign students at all times. Weekly meetings are conducted for the benefit of these students. Six monthly reports about the progress of these students are sent to the central management committee.
